Your Charleston Lowcountry Events for this Weekend are Here!
Happy New Year and Welcome to your Charleston Living with Cindy weekend events for the first weekend of 2023! Here are my top picks for events this weekend!
Mews and Brews Cat Cafe Opens in Summerville!
So, do you love cats? Are you thinking of adopting one or just like to hang with them? I have the purrrrrfect spot for you! Today is the Grand Opening of Mews and Brews in Summerville! You can order your food and bev in a separate bar area, and then take it on over to the designated cat area, which is known as the “Cat Lounge.”
The cats are adoptable on the spot, or if you just love cats, but can’t have them in your home, you can just come love on them. Mews and Brews Cat Cafe is located at 1707 Central Avenue in Summerville, and will be open Monday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday they are open from noon to 10 p.m. They are closed on Sunday.
Charleston Build, Remodel and Landscape Expo
Spring is right around the corner, right? This was a must have on my events this weekend list! The Charleston Build, Remodel & Landscape Expo is the place to be for the latest innovations, offerings, and ideas in the home building and remodeling industries!
This event is held at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson. This Expo will connect you to the area’s leading remodelers, builders, and design professionals. You’ll find wall-to-wall displays and get the opportunity to speak directly with experts and receive helpful “insiders” advice to turn your dream home or other home improvement project into a reality.
The expo is going on from now until Sunday. Today it’s open until 7 p.m., tomorrow from 10 to 7, and Sunday from 11 to 5.
Free tickets!
Low Country Animal Rescue is sponsoring this event this weekend, and they will be there with lots of furbabies! Admission is $5 for adults, but if you go to the Facebook events page, you can get free admission for two by showing the picture at the top of the event! We like free!
