Today is a fun day to celebrate. Why? It’s National Beer Day… so we get to talk about the best places in the Charleston Lowcountry to drink a delicious beer. Grab your friends and head to one of my favorite places! Here’s a starting point list of the Charleston Lowcountry’s best places to grab a beer!
The Griffon, of course, The Barrel Charleston, DIG in the Park, The Tattooed Moose, The Tattooed Moose Johns Island, Revelry Brewing, and of course, who can let Smoky Oak Taproom go unmentioned? Where are YOU having your Beer Day Brew today?

The Griffon Pub is located at 18 Vendue Range in Charleston. Greg-Had the time of my life here last night. Ken-Food and service was great, right down by the Waterfront Park, too!
Dig in the Park is located in the heart of Park Circle, North Charleston, at 1049 E Montague Avenue. Dig in the Park is known for its awesome burgers, live music, puppies on the patio, and ice, cold, refreshing beer! Connor: Great atmosphere with all of the dogs being able to sit and relax in the shade. Maxim: Had a great time here on Saturday.

The Barrel Charleston: Located at 1859 Folly Road, the Barrel is a great place for live music, great food and of course, an ice cold Beer! Savannah: Great beer and the sweetest pups! Jennifer: This place is everything dreams are made of!
The Tattooed Moose: Located at 1137 Morrison Drive, Charleston, AND 3328 Maybank Road in Johns Island. This little find is super cool with Duck Sandwich on the menu!!! What what?! C’mon….ya gotta try it! Beer menu is beyond reproach. Eli: Amazing Dining Experience. Paul: On Point. Great food after a long day of work.
Revelry Brewing is located at 10 Conroy Street in Charleston. Rooftop patio makes the Charleston experience even more amazing, and where else can you get tacos AND sushi rolls? What?! Their lager list, well, their beer list is off the chain, and you just have to try them out! Natalie: Best brewery tour I have ever been on! Graham: Great beers and atmosphere!
Smoky Oak Taproom: What goes more naturally with an ice cold beer than anything else in the world? BARBECUE!! Holy schnikeys, get ready for this, because you are going to be in taste bud heaven. Located at 1234 Camp Road in Charleston, it is an amazing place to chill with a beer and friends! Angie: Awesome food and service. Highly recommend! Brian: James island staple – one of the few establishments with staying power in JI!
