Hey, Charleston Lowcountry, today is a good day… because it’s #NationalFriedChickenDay! And you can bet that I already have a visit to Oscar’s in Summerville on my schedule! Their southern fried chicken is THE. BEST. EVER.
About Oscar’s
So, when Allen and I go out to eat, there are TWO things he has to try (not always in the same sitting LOL)! Of course, there is the neverending search for the best burgers, but most definitely, the search for the Charleston Lowcountry’s best fried chicken.
Well, we definitely found the best in Summerville at Oscar’s of Summerville. This quaint restaurant is located at 207 W 5th North Street (Hwy 78) in Summerville. This cozy, yet somewhat upscale restaurant, is the perfect place for any kind of southern home cooking, but definitely, their buttermilk chicken is to die for. Holy schnikeys, Batman! The crisp, flavorful crust guarding the juicy deliciousness inside, it’s to die for.
Don’t be shy–comment!
Let me know in the comments what YOUR fave Lowcountry spot is for this deliciousness!
